You can always substitute the peaches with apricots, nectarines or plums. If there is something I have to point out about this recipe is that, personally, I found the amount of vanilla too much. I felt that it overtook the aroma of the peaches. So, next time I'm planning to omit the vanilla or to use half of it so to balance the flavours better.  But this, of course, is a matter of personal taste, you do as you please

Strawberry ice cream with Xuxu liqueur

Xuxu, this tasty and fragrant -Germany produced- liqueur is the key ingredient for this classic strawberry ice cream. I had tasted Xuxu only once before and that was many years ago on a trip to Aachen.
