Skillet pork chops with garlic and ouzo sauce

A very easy and tasty recipe for a lazy Sunday meal for the whole family! Easily the pork chops can be replaced by pork fillet or chicken breast fillets (skin on)

Recipe of Eleni Psihouli
"BHMAgourmet" magazine of "TO BHMA" newspaper (2012)

Ingredients (for 4 people):

4 pork chops, from the neck (preferably without the bone)

For the sauce:
1 tsp of meat spice mix
1 lemon, the juice and the zest
2 cloves of garlic, mashed
½ a cup of Ouzo
1 tsp of ground coriander
salt
black pepper

Method:
Put on the cooker a spacious non-stick grill pan to warm on high heat. When it is really hot place the pork chops in (plain as they are) and cook on high heat until they are browned on both sides.

Turn the heat down to medium and continue until the pork chops are well cooked inside, turning them often.

In the meantime, put the ingredients of the sauce in a bowl and mix thoroughly with a whisk.

When the pork chops are cooked, pour over with the sauce and cook for another 1-2 minutes allowing the alcohol to evaporate.

Serve the pork chops hot along with fries and a salad.
